Homeskillet Health Inc (collectively “Hero Journey Club,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides weekly life skills and mental health-focused online sessions (“Services”) for children, teens, and adults.  While most of our Services are intended for users of all ages, certain of our Services are directed toward children under the age of 13 (individually a “Child” and collectively “Children”) (such Services, “Children’s Services”) and enable participation in group sessions where Children can express their ideas within a live video or audio group session while playing video games with Children of a similar age (“Group Session”).

This Children’s Privacy Policy provides important information about how we may collect, use, and disclose personal information through our Children’s Services. Please review our Privacy Policy for information regarding our privacy practices associated with Services directed to a general audience.

Personal information we collect from Children

We may collect the following information from Children through our Children’s Services:

  • Identifiers and other information the Child provides while using the Children’s Services, such as first name, last name, username, date of birth, gender, information about their health and wellness, and information contained in feedback or other communications with us.
  • Video recordings of Group Sessions that contain the Child’s image or voice.
  • Information collected automatically from the Child’s device when accessing our Children’s Services, including internet or other network activity information such as device ID, IP address, web browser type and version, and general usage information.

How we use personal information of Children

We may collect the following information fWe may use Children’s personal information for the following purposes:

  • Provide the Children’s Services and facilitate participation in Group Sessions
  • Respond to inquiries and fulfill requests
  • Maintain or analyze the functioning of the Services (including Children’s Services)
  • Perform network communications
  • Authenticate users of, or personalize the content on, the Children’s Services
  • Debug the Services to identify and repair errors
  • Protect the security or integrity of our users or the Services (including Children’s Services)
  • Ensure legal or regulatory compliance

How we share personal information of Children

We may disclose personal information of Children in the following ways

  • With the facilitator and other participants in a Group Session.  
  • To third parties we use to support the internal operations of Services, such as companies that assist us with web hosting, telecommunications, and customer service.
  • With our lawyers and other professional advisors where necessary to obtain advice or otherwise protect and manage our business interests.
  • Between and among our affiliates, subsidiaries, and other companies under common control and ownership.
  • If we are required to do so by law or legal process, such as to comply with any court order or subpoena or to respond to any government or regulatory request.
  • If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of Hero Journey Club or others, including to:
    • protect the safety of a child;
    • protect the safety and security of the Services; or
    • enable us to take precautions against liability.
  • To law enforcement agencies or for an investigation related to public safety.
  • In connection with, or during negotiations concerning, any sale, merger, bankruptcy, sale of assets, financing, acquisition, or reorganization, in whole or in part, of our company.

Rights of Parents and Guardians

At any time, parents or guardians may review their Child's personal information maintained by us, require us to correct or delete the personal information, and/or refuse to permit us from further collecting or using their Child's information by sending us an email at support@herojourney.club. To protect the privacy and security of Children’s personal information, we may require parents or guardians to take certain steps or provide additional information to verify their identity before we provide any information or make corrections.
